Punta Ballena

Few are the places where you can enjoy the twilight as in “Punta Ballena”, characterized by a panoramic route on the hill with an iuncomparable sight of Portezuelo´s bay in Maldonado. As a background, the outstanding work of afforestation fulfilled at the beginning of the last century by Antonio Lussich, gives it a charm, possible of being estimated from two viewing-points specially thought for those who enjoy the spectacle of nature.
Besides the zone posseses other attractions as the art in “Casapueblo”, atelier of the great Uruguayan artist Carlos Paez Vilaró, the sports activities as the hanggliding, trekking or fishing, and natural attractions as the “Alboretum Lussich” and “Laguna del Sauce.
